Interests
This page is a less formal place for topics I keep coming back to.
Technical
I’m especially interested in algorithms, hardware accelerators, and all sorts of ML including interpretability, architecture innovation, and efficiency. In general, I really enjoy problem solving and engineering, be it technical work or constructing perfect macarons.
Chess
I’ve spent a lot of time with chess, both as a player and through building chess engines. Building Altair was one of my first serious software projects and shaped a lot of how I think about search, evaluation, and performance.
Baking
Baking is rather like engineering. That is, it requires precision, experimentation, and empirical faith. Here’s a batch of chocolate macarons I made!
Writing notes
I use writing as a way to clarify ideas and bridge concepts. Some topics I want to write about include dynamic programming optimization, diffusion models, GPU kernels, and efficient inference.
